JOB TITLE: Account Manager

DEPT: Client Communications

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

To be responsible for the overall management & support of new and existing customer projects on a daily basis, whilst providing outstanding customer service and being the primary point of contact between the business & the customer.

JOB OUTCOMES & OBJECTIVES:

  • To provide accurate information to all internal departments to ensure a smooth project process.
  • To ensure all projects that you are managing are delivered on time to the clients specification.
  • To communicate changes to schedules whilst managing clients expectations.
  • Be on top of every aspect of your project schedule to ensure each key event is happening on time to minimalize impact to GI & client.
  • To manage all clients’ stock requirements and ensure it meets GI specifications.
  • You will be required to provide Technical support on some projects to help clients achieve their outcomes.
  • To work with commercial and outwork to support accurate costings, and stock is supplied to specification of the job.
  • To invoice all projects within the agreed service level requirement.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with clients and manage expectations.
  • Attend external meetings to take new briefs or to review previous projects.
  • Seek feedback to work on improvements for the new projects.
  • To keep cost of quality to a minimum.
  • To work with production & sales to ensure jobs are produced the most efficient way, whilst meeting client requirements.
  • To ensure all projects are filed accordingly to GI’s audit policy.

JOB TITLE: Skilled Finishing Operator

REPORTING TO: Imaging Operations Supervisor. DEPT: Finishing area.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

To operate all finishing equipment with in GI Solutions.
Train other operators to use the folders and gluing systems.
Be trained to be an digital operator.

MAIN DUTIES & TARGETS

  • To continuously monitor and maintain print/fold quality to customer required specifications.
  • Responsible for operating the equipment assigned to you to achieve all set targets / KPI’s.
  • Responsible for reporting and logging of all information as requested throughout the running of a job.
  • Once trained responsible for ensuring all OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) recommended preventative maintenance is carried out adequately for the continuation of the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring the recommended levels of preventative maintenance are performed adequately and on time.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all quality standards, either agreed by the company across all functions or agreed on an individual contract basis are maintained or superseded.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all specified procedures are implemented.
  • Responsible for communication of all issues affecting the above to the Imaging Operations Supervisor
  • Hours are continental shift pattern (3 x 12 hours shifts).
  • Ensure that you follow SSOW’s for all equipment. (H&S)
  • Ensure all waste is segregated for correct disposal (Environmental & Security)
  • Ensure all correct security badges are being worn and challenge anyone not wearing one. (Security)

In addition to the above, we may require you to carry out any other duties within your reasonable competence. This also includes all shift patterns and a level of overtime required to get the results required.

Essential Requirements
Necessary for effective performance of job

  • Experienced print finisher using MBO folders and gluing systems.
  • Be able to manage a qc control system.
  • Can work on own initiative, self-motivated.
  • Have good verbal and written skills.
  • 3 years’ experience of operating the required equipment.
  • Be able to operate MBO folders.

Desirable Attributes
Where available, elements that contribute to improved/immediate performance in the job

  • Apprenticed trained.
  • Operating glue systems.
  • Basic inkjet knowledge.
  • GCSE Maths
  • GCSE English
  • 3 years’ experience running plow folders and hot/cold glue systems
  • Experience running personalisation equipment.
  • CS6 and Ehret cutters and lines.
  • Experience with gluing equipment.

Working Conditions

You will be working with fast moving equipment, with a reasonably high noise factor and as such adequate ear protection is supplied and should be worn. Also adequate protective footwear would be advised

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

REPORTING TO DAILY : ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

REPORTING TO OVERALL: Operations Director

MAIN DUTIES & TARGETS

  • Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
  • Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
  • Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
  • Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
  • Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
  • Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.
  • Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
  • Install repaired equipment in various settings.
  • Consult with supervisors, or engineers to plan layout of equipment or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
  • Develop or modify industrial electronic devices, circuits, or equipment, according to available specifications.
  • Send defective parts away for repair.
  • Responsible for reordering of items for stock, checking stock levels of spare parts.
  • Will be required to work a rotating shift system.
  • Will be part of a rotating call out rota.
  • In addition to the above, we may require you to carry out any other duties within your reasonable competence. This will include holiday cover and flexible working hours.

Essential

  • 5 years in a production environment, ideally print/mailing house related.
  • 17th Edition wiring Regs.
  • Fault finding skills.

Desirable

  • HNC / Knowledge of PLC systems would be an advantage.
  • Previous work in a continuous production environment.
  • Preferably from a maintenance background.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
