Merge - Purge and De Dupe
Duplication is a common issue and can irritate recipients but is easily rectified with the right help. GI Direct offers a service to remove the duplicated names and addresses from your database. There are two options, internal or intra de dupe. The former will find and remove the duplicates from one file, whereas the latter will remove repetitions from across a range of files. However, merge-purge is a process to detect the repeats of the same names and addresses if two mailing files are being pulled together to produce one end file. Removing duplicates can not only save money but can reduce complaints from customers who have received the same mailing more than once.
